ACTIVITIES

Health Awareness Campaigns and Sensitization programs to the Urban slums and rural areas people, who are under BPL families, on HIV/AIDS, TB and Creating Awareness on Water and Sanitation. Also The Organization will be conducted campaigns against the discrimination, mobilizing the community members and soliciting the support of other civil society organization, the Aruna Mahila Mandali well organize marches, demonstrations etc to invite public attention and seek redressing of such problems.

The Aruna Mahila Mandali has been Conducting Free Medical camps, Free Eye Camps and distributing free Medicines to the poor and slum people to make a difference in the health and well-being of children, families and communities.

Vocational Trainings: The Aruna Mahila Mandali is Conducting Vocational Trainings like Tailoring, Embroidery, Surf Making, Pot Painting and Glass Paintings, Handicrafts etc. for the unemployed youth and women and they are getting good skills and abilities to go on to lead a productive and fulfilling their lives.

Advocacy and Campaigning: Through this programme the organization going to build rapport between officials and community to utilize the welfare schemes by the government. Also, to know about the Acts, which Government provided to the scheduled caste people to protect themselves as safe guard.

Observance of important day: The Organization will be observed the important days like the birthday celebrations of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Babu Jagajeevan Ram and Maha Kavi Jashuva each in year to bring the attention of the community members and the wider community to the problems of the community. These observations are expected to generate confidence among the community members.
